La cuarta edición de los Critics Choice Awards se celebraba anoche en Beverly Hills y, aunque The Big Bang Theory y The Good Wife lideraban las nominaciones, las más premiadas fueron finalmente las nuevas series Fargo y Orange is the New Black. Las ficciones de FX y Netflix respectivamente se hicieron con tres galardones cada una, seguidas por la siempre aclamada Breaking Bad y la 'tv movie' de Ryan Murphy The Normal Heart, vencedoras en dos categorías.
La ficción basada en la novela homónima de Piper Kerman fue elegida como Mejor comedia y completó su palmarés en los TCA con premios para dos de sus atrices: Kate Mulgrew como Mejor actriz secundaria y Uzo Aduba como Mejor artista invitada. La adaptación televisiva de la famosa película de los Coen, por su parte, fue reconocida como Mejor miniserie y Billy Bob Thornton y Allison Tolman fueron seleccionados como Mejor actor y Mejor actriz secundaria en miniserie.
